  • Every other day...if it's every day, the sperm don't have time to replenish them selves. Also, if you are fertile, sperm can live 96 hours inside you.

  • you will only concieve when there is sperm present WHEN you ovulate, so ti doens't matter how many times you have sex, if there is NO egg, NO conception

  • Try reading this

"Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler

It will help you determine when you ovulate and what your body is doing

  • Take your temp every morning and chart it so you know when you are going to ovulate. Have sex the day before you think you are going to ovulate and the next couple of days. You can find the temp charts online and print them off.

  • Every other day gives your man time to refuel, and since sperm lives at least 24 hours once inside your cervix you still have the same affect as if you were making love constantly during that fertile time! (We went like rabbits as soon as my opk's turned positive for the first six months of trying; month 7 we tried every other day from three days before I usually ovulated until three days after. . . and whammo ~ here I am, nine months pregnant!)

  • hahaha well that def makes me feel better!

  • This depends on your partners sperm quality and quantity. You usually have the best chance of concieving when you have intercourse just before you ovulate. The only reason you would want to obstain to every other day is if your partner has a lower sperm count.

  • It depends on how certain you are that you're going to ovulate. If you know your body's signs and have predicted ovulation accurately in the past, just having sex when you're most fertile in the 2-3 days prior to ovulation would be fine. If you're not great at pinpointing ovulation, or you don't want to be bothered with charting or OPKs, every other day is the better way to go.

  • We have tried everyday during ovulation and every other day during ovulation. we are going on 4 months of TTC and it is so frustrating and disappointing when you period comes.

Does anyone have any advice on how not to think about it so much?
