Has anyone had or knows if you can have a pet fox?

  • no. Wild animals are illegal to keep as pets and any pet store that sells them is breaking the law.

  • No you can't have one as a pet. Even people who do wild animal rescue and have a license have to have a "rabies vector" license also to help a fox. It is illegal to have a wild animal as a pet. Get a dog.

  • Unless you have special licensing, it is illegal to keep any indigenous species as a pet. I know that fennec foxes can be kept as pets (or at least were legal here) and have seen them before, but they are not like keeping a cat or dog, and take a lot of special care as far as their diets and environment.
