I need to do a Healthy DIET!!so that i can loose 15 pounds!!please help me do that..

  • Cut down carbs, eat before lunch and dinner a salad (but no ranch dressing, just oil and vinegar), substitute meals with a can of slimfast, cut out the unhealthy snacks and substitute with veggies or fruit, .....
    And exercise, going for a walk after dinner or go swimming 3 times a week, chrunches, sit-ups, push-ups,...

  • Yeah, drink a glass of water before your meals, add lots of protein and veggies and less fruit. I agree with the slim fast. It has worked wonders for me but I'm working out regularly and doing weights.

  • Use an online calorie calculator to determine how many calories a day you should be eating to lose weight. Like this one:  http://nutrition.about.com/library/bl_nutrition_guide.htm


    Break that number down to 40% proteins, 30% carbohydrates and 30% fats.  Stay within those guidelines and you will lose weight, and do it in a healthy manner.  Your body NEEDS carbohydrates and fats.  Cutting back on them or cutting them out of your diet is not healthy.  You need to learn the healthy sources of each and incorporate those into your eating plan.

  • I would start with simple changes.
    Walk, or do other exercise, for at least 20 minutes a day, at least 3 times a week.
    Make sure that you are drinking enough water, at least 8 8oz glasses a day.
    Eat an apple or big pile of veggies before meals.
    Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, in at least 3 different colors.
    Eat 6-7 servings of whole grains a day.
    Eat at least two servings of legumes a day.
    Cut way back on meat and dairy.

    It helps you calculate your BMI, gives menu suggestions, has calorie and nutrient trackers, exercise suggestions and how-tos, exercise trackers, and forums for support and Q&A.
