My friend Desiree is 21, about 5'2", and she only weighs 80-something pounds. Many people assume she has an eating disorder, but she has been like this her whole life. She tries everything to gain weight. Her diet resembles what a college football player trying to go up a weight class eats! She has even tried using muscle building powders (FDA approved ones only of course) that female body builders use in their diets! She cannot even eat the normal amount of fiber rich foods, because they go right through her. Her metabolism just seems to be on overdrive.
Some women are mean and say, "Why are you mad bitch?! You are skinny!" She feels unwomanly though, because she really does look like like an adolescent girl (her husband gets dirty looks when they are out in public). She cannot even have children yet, because she has trouble holding onto nutrients. Any advice??

I have the same problem! Very hard for me to gain weight and I eat like you wouldn't believe. I think you should advise her to talk to a doctor or nutritionist.
