  • Depends on the person and reason. If the neighbor is "crazy" probably not.

  • I'd have to agree with MommyLee08.
It depends on the person... It'd be a good incentive to do - then you'd have something to report if you ended up calling the police.
We were advised by our friend who's a cop to put that where it's easily viewable - like our back fence, also one that states we have dogs and to be cautious.

  • Probably not, most people could care less.

  • It starts a "paper trail" and protects you with insurance companies.

  • We have "Posted - No Trespassing" signs on our property &, no, they don't keep the kids & disreputable people away. However, if you catch them on the property, you can prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law b/c you had a sign warning them that is what would happen if they were caught. The sign has to be highly visible from all corners of the property, which usually means you need to have more than one sign.

Also, if you have a dog, "Beware of Dog" signs are not enough to protect you from being sued if someone is bit by one of your dogs, even if they were trespassing. Instead, put up a sign that says "Guard Dog on Duty" or "Attack Dog on Duty" or similar that actually means "this dog will bite you if you come on the property", b/c then the trespasser was warned.

Our neighbor gave us a sign that says "Trepassers will be shot; Survivors will be shot again". It's a joke, but we love it & put it by our front door.
