How do you handle bratty kids in your house?

I am talking about how other people handle when other people's kids (nieces nephews etc) act bratty in your home by destroying property (breaking stuff or writing on the walls or talking back) and their parents don't seem to even notice. Just curious as to other ladies react?

  • If they are kids that are in your house often they can learn what you expect of them. I would explain expectations in front of their parents. Some things can be avoided by putting away special toys, things that could be broken, or potential art supplies.

  • If their parents don't handle the problem, I don't allow them back in my house. I don't have the time or money or run around after other people's undisciplined children.

  • Whats the point of hiding things in your home because a parent can't control their child!!!. If the parent can't control them and the child doesn't respect my stuff then they don't need to be in my house
