I just got the paint.net thing. How do I make a black and white picture with just a shirt or eyes still in color?

Let's say I want to turn a picture b/w but I want to keep my baby's eyes blue... how do I do that?

  • I've never used paint.net, but I assume its the same as photoshop.

You create another layer on top of it, turn the top layer black and white and use the eraser to erase the black and white layer off and let the color layer show through.

  • The PP is correct. Duplicate the layer, turn the top layer B&W, then use the eraser tool to erase the parts you want in color.

There is a PDN group here on CafeMom that you could join for tuts, etc.
