I was never a heavy producer of breast milk. (I had previous breast surgeries) My baby is 8.5 months old and I let her try to get what she can and I also express what little I get a day. Probably 1/4 of an ounce.
My best friend just had a baby and is over producing milk. She donates her milk to a local hospital but recently, the hospital denied her milk because they are out of freezer space.
She offered to give me milk and I am "iffy" on it.

Absolutely without question. The donor being your best friend, I am sure you know her better then anyone, that coupled with the fact that the hospital has been taking her donor milk makes it a no brainer. If you wish your child to have more breastmilk go for it!
