Do employers take online/ at home degrees seriously?

  • well.....if your trying to get an online degree for say medical billing expect to work IN an office for several years before anyone will give you an at home job processing medical forms. It mostly depends on the university your using and NO ONE says you have to tell them you got it online and didnt actually go to class at a campus. Use a college that has an actual campus, then you can just use the name of the university, no some fly by night web college. Alot of employers dont take them seriously.

  • It can depend on where the degree is from. Make sure it is an accredited school.

  • depends what type of employment you are seeking. some fields only consider accredited schools.
