AIDS Vaccine Is 'Scientific Breakthrough'

BANGKOK (Sept. 24) - For the first time, an experimental vaccine has prevented infection with the AIDS virus, a watershed event in the deadly epidemic and a surprising result. Recent failures led many scientists to think such a vaccine might never be possible.
The World Health Organization and the U.N. agency UNAIDS said the results "instilled new hope" in the field of HIV vaccine research, although researchers say it likely is many years before a vaccine might be available.
Would you get it if and when it becomes avaiable?

  • yeah i would but as of now they aretn even sure it would be as effective here in america because the strains are diferent here from the one in thailand where they did the research and testing for it and as of now it was only 31% effective its better than nothing but we are far off from a vaccine being available to us and lets face it will be avery long time might not even happen like we are hoping
