How many agree with this?

I have always thought that those people that are homophobic have a tinge of homosexuaity hidden way down deep inside and this is why they are this way. It hits home and they get enraged.
A Republican christian Senator from Idaho, is a case in point, spewing anti gay venom, and getting arrested in 2007 for soliciting male sex from an undercover police office in a bathroom stall in the airport, such bathroom well know for its activity in homosexuality.

  • People like that are just trying to hide the fact they have those feelings. Most guys growing up. Are raised to believe it is a bad thing, to be gay.

  • Yes, in some cases we can be, but get someone very old fashion, like my grandparents they are really offended by it. And, I once had a boss who was a foreigner, was homophobic he was very outspoken about dis-liking gays, he said he would never hire one, and wished them dead. But, in his country homosexuality was a crime, punishable by death.

  • I think its a stereotype. There are people who are against homosexuality for moral and/or religious reasons.

  • Ginger0104, the homophobic label is given to those who oppose irrational fear, discriminate fervershly, point the finger to demean, hopefully those who oppose for religious reasons have more compassion than that.

Answer by older at 4:45 PM on Sep. 25, 2009

  • I know what a homophobic is. Not all of them are out protesting at rallies. Some are spending time with friends making casual jokes that they see as funny, but it really only spews hate.

Outspoken or hidden behind closed doors, a homophobe is a homophobe.

Answer by Ginger0104 at 4:51 PM on Sep. 25, 2009

  • There have been studies done that show that to be true.

  • anon, apparently you did not read the queston did you? You don't have to agree or accept unless you yourself are a homosexual. read the dictionary's answer to a homophobic, you might learn something.
