  • At my dd's 2 month check up she weighed 11lbs 2 oz and was 24 inches long. She was 8lb7oz when she was born. Her height is in the 95th percentile, so she's a long baby, but her weight was normal...

  • I think my son was 10lbs and I'm not sure on height as they messed up the first 2 visits.

  • A breastfed baby should gain about 5-7 ounces a week from 0-4 months.

  • Depends on birth size! There's no one size fits all answer. But if breastfed, look for a weight gain of about 4-6 ounces per week from the LOWEST weight.

So...if baby was seven pounds at birth and lost ten percent (which is the upper limit on loss) I'd be looking for anywhere from eight to nine pounds.
