Capitol Hill switchboard tells callers to tell their congressman to vote YES for healthcare. Is this crossing the line?

This is the phone number to the Capitol Hill switchboard: 1-800-828-0498.
Call this number and listen to the message that is now on the capital hill switchboard. This is unbelievable.

  • It's like little children that keep asking for what they want, and they ask and ask and ask until they finally get what they want. It's immature and this administration seems to stoop lower than I ever imagined they would. It's pathetic and is actually the only transparent thing about the Obama administration. They are a bunch of snivelling babies that can't stand to hear the word NO.

  • Why is thay 800 number a different response than the 202 number? If you call that, you get the recording, the 202 number goes right to a live person.

  • Ok got the answer. Congress doesn't use 800 toll free numbers. Lobbyists pay for those and attach whatever message they want. Ygrn forward the call to the actual switchboard.

Great! How do we get one of those??? Does anyone else find this a little less than ethical though?

  • Oh yeah it's shady as hell. I think the whole lobby thing ought to get tossed out along with 90 percent of congress.
