Does your child have a feature that has left you scratching your head, wondering "Where did THAT come from?"

My DS has the cutest little ears that point outward at the top. No one can figure out where those suckers came from. Other than that he looks just like his daddy.

  • Well our red-haired son did give all of us a moment of pause. Then we got thinking about it... All my great-grandmother's brother's had red hair. My grandmother on my mother's side had red hair has a child. My grandfather on my dad's side had red hair in his beard. My DH had the same far reaching "traces" of red. You never know how far a recessive gene can go back!

  • My children don't, but I do, I have a small upturned pixie nose and while my parents noses aren't huge they are definitely on the big side of average and not shaped like mine. I have no idea where it came from, but I love my nose, so I'm happy.

  • They both have blue eyes. Mine are brown and my husband's are green. The only thing I can think of is since, if I remember Biology class correctly and blue is a recessive color, that DH has a blue eyed relative somewhere on his biological father's side. My grandfathers both had blue eyes.

  • His ears may pull back in as he grows. Our ears, noses and feet grow throughout our whole lifetimes.

  • Sort of... He has Blonde hair. My dh has BLACK hair, & I have dark brown hair. I get so much grief over it. My dh always hears, "are you sure he's really yours?" ugh... it gets old. ;)

  • Oh, we've heard so much crap about our son not being my husband's baby. When he was born MIL went on and on about it until finally I had to say something just to make it stop. Then when our DD was born with the same blue eyes, DH said to her, "See? They are mine." lol

  • With my youngest it would have to be his feet. They are very wide....I have to buy xtra wide shoes for him. DH and I, and my oldest son all have narrow feet .
We did finally realise that DH's dad and My dad both have Very Wide Feet though.
