When do infants start teething?

I know it's different for every baby, but is there a general time? My husband's brother started teething when he was 3 mos old (so says my mother-in-law). My son is 11 weeks old and has started drooling more, constantly sucking on his hands, and is much more fussy throughout the day. I don't know if it could be teething, but what are some definite signs?

  • here's a site that tells a little more and "when" babies get their teeth. both my kids were about 6 months as well as the 2 kids i babysit for so he might be a drool bucket for awhile still.
