Where is the kindness

Lately there is alot of hate on here, isn't this supposed to be a site for support for moms? If someone posts something that another doesn't agree with, the original poster is sometimes called a racist. (example if don't agree with Pres. Obama) I put this on here to give others something to think about. I don't hate people, accept others, may not agree with things that are said, but will respect the person.

  • I agree with you but some people weren't taught basic kindness and respect and they somehow excuse their offensive behavior with lame excuses like "It's a public forum." As you get older you see how the world is shrinking as far as manners, respect and community goes. It's terrifying if you're raising kids. How do you explain why other little kids are trolls? Horrible... what goes around comes around to bite you in the ass.

  • Hate is not everywhere on this site - just in some places like this section and some controversial groups. You might to find some other places to hang out, more positive and fun places!

  • I don't think it's that there isn't kindness in the world. I think it's just that because it's shocking and upsetting to us as people when someone does something we think is mean or out of line, we're more likely to notice.

For example - think about when you're driving down the road. You don't remember all the cars that stayed in their lane, drove the speed limit, and used turn signals. But you're going to remember the car that came flying up behind you going twice the speed limit in the lane next to you, then whipped out in front of you without using their turn signal and cutting you off, making you have to slam on your brakes, right?

That doesn't mean that we ALL do it. In fact, it's because we DON'T all do it that we notice the ones that do. Same goes for basic kindness, too :-)

  • There is always kindness. Sometimes you have to look for it but it's there.
