taggy blankets

Has anyone ever made a taggy blanket for their baby or bought one? Are they hard to make? My little guy seems to really enjoy chewing and sucking on any blanket he can get to his mouth so i thought he would really enjoy a taggy blanket with all the different textures.

  • its just a blanket that has different little tags of fabric sewed on the ends babies who enjoy chewing on things like them.

  • Just get a sturdy blanket or piece of fabric (no need to be too big, it'll probably just be used for play and not covering up) and some different-textured ribbons (1 or 1.5-inch width is probably best), and cut/fold the ribbon into tag-sized lengths and sew them around the edges of the blanket. Not hard at all. And your son will love it if he's like most babies, especially the satiny-feeling ones. :)

  • Wow I should probably make one for my Fiona, she manages to find the real tag on everything from bibs, to clothes, and toys. And she loves chewing on them. Good Idea!
