  • 6 hours ago I had Mac and Cheese for supper. My daughter got me kicked out of my Gym this summer. I drive a Chevy Malibu. I spent my birthday watching my kids ride the amusement park rides.

  • I skipped having my hair cut to buy my son his winter clothing. We got it early (for here) because we ran into some good sales. My hair can wait, if it gets cold, he can't.

  • Good job luvmygrlz and good luck on quitting entirely! My kids eat first and I eat what's left. I have lost 18 pounds in the last 6 weeks- thankfully I needed to lose it- but I'm trying to slow it down a little since I'm nursing a 6 month old as well and shouldn't be losing weight that fast. I am selling my wedding dress to get my almost 3 year old twins birthday presents and give them a decent party.

  • i haven't bought any clothes since i got pregnant..i rather wear my maternity clothes (even though i'm 55 lbs lighter and they're HUGE) then have my daughter go husband says i spoil her, but she's only 6 months old and i wanna make sure she has what she NEEDS

  • IKt's been a very long time since I made any scarifices for my children so I honestly cannot recall. I have given up meals so they can eat, I have not bought new clothes so they could have new clothes, I have not had my hair cut so that they would have money to go out with friends, etc.. My children are all now grown and out of the house so there's no more scarifices to make.

  • I think we all sacrifice regularly even when we don't realize it-- like when we walk in to the store and see a really cute top, but don't buy it. Not b/c the kid needs something, but b/c they WILL need something eventually, and we want to make sure they get it when they do. I figure that my clothes should still fit (and if they don't, I need to sacrifice a little FOOD to keep them fitting), but DS's won't. He NEEDS clothes, I just want them.

  • I don't have to. I am a minimalist. I never want anything, so I never have to fore go anything. I put my needs last. My daughter always comes first.
