sugar cookie recipes?

i need to bake cookies for my mother. can you help?

  • yup go to the grocery store & buy the pre cut pre mixed sugar cookies in the refridge section, Bake accordingly :D

  • No-Roll Sugar Cookies Makes: About 3 1/2 dozen cookies
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup butter or margarine, softened
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
    2 tablespoons milk
    1 tablespoon vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 cups unbleached white flour, 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    In large bowl, beat 1 cup granulated sugar, the powdered sugar, butter,oil, milk, vanilla and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with 1 spoon. Stir in remaining ingredients except 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Cover; refrigerate about 2 hours or until firm (at least one hour). Heat oven to 350°F. Place 1/4 cup granulated sugar in small bowl. Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll balls in sugar.

  • . On ungreased cookie sheet, place balls about 3 inches apart. Flatten to 1/4-inch thickness with bottom of glass.. Sprinkle cookies with a little additional sugar. 3. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until set and edges just begin to brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.

    Don't buy the pre-packaged dreck.

  • Sour Cream Sugar Cookies
    1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) softened
    2 cups sugar

    3 Jumbo eggs

    2 teasp. vanilla extract

    1 1/4 cup sour cream

    1 teasp. baking soda

    4 cups flour

    2 teasp. baking powder

    1/2 teasp. salt

    1/4 teasp. cinnamon

    1/4 teasp. nutmeg


    In a large mixing bowl: cream butter 3 mins on medium speed, add sugar, cream for 3 mins longer, add eggs 1 at a time. Beat well after each egg, add vanilla. In a small bowl: combine sour cream and the baking soda sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg to butter mixture: alternately add the flour mixture and the sour cream starting with the flour mixture and ending with the flour mixture drop by teaspoon onto a greased tin foil lined cookie sheet 12 cookies to a cookie sheet. spaced 1 1/2 inches apart bake at 350' F for 8-10 mins. do not brown the tops. cool on
