  • Soak the spot, pour a thick layer of potato starch all over it. Cover it with a towel, leave it to dry for a couple of days, then vacuum it all up. The potato starch will soak up the wetness, including the smell. My daughter threw up in her bed one time, but after I did this, there is no stain, and it doesn't smell at all.

  • Baking soda works well just for the smell, but if you want to make sure you get all of the source, try Nature's Miracle from the pet supply store. The Nature's Miracle is a natural enzyme product that will "eat" the stain right to the source & it works well on all organic messes like vomit, blood, oil, urine, etc.
