what does sticky and non-sticky mean when writing a post?

  • non sticky is just a post and it goes down the row of posts as a new post is submitted. Sticky means it stays in place at the top of the posts and doesn't move down and possibly not seen.

  • For instance, an Introduce Yourself post on a forum will be sticky (I believe they usually have a different color to them as well). Other posts in a group need to be bumped to stay on the first page, but that gets annoying and some groups have rules against bumping for that very reason.
