  • I don't have a child that gets SSI, but my twin nephews did for the first few years of their lives because they were 3 mos. premature and were said to be failure to thrive. One of the twins got it longer than his twin because he was also diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and delayed development. They stopped getting it when they were 5, I think. They are almost 13 now.
