My 9 year old daughter's hair is falling off a lot...help!

My daughter has think black beautiful hair, but lately its falling off and breaking when she washes her hair, and brushes it. Is there any good shampoo / conditioner i can buy for her, and also could it be her diet? Thank you ladies!

  • Try using a really good conditioner. Maybe "cholesterol" (yes, that's what it's called) or "main and tail" to help de-tangle her hair and help eliminate some of the breakage when she combs through it. They sell both in most drug stores, walmart or target.

  • What kind of shampoo/conditioner is she currently using?

Her diet could be the cause but I'm not a doctor. Call her doctor.

  • Diet has a lot to do with hair falling out. Hopefully it isn't a medical problem. Check with your pediatrician.

  • I agree check with your Dr , it is probably nothing but could be a sign of something.

  • get her a dermatologist. she might have alopecia. but if it's not that bad it could be normal or harsh chemicals. i wouldn't blame it on shampoo or conditioner.
