How often do you clean your carpet?

I clean mine about every two weeks. It's a job having creamed color carpet. I'm ready to have my whole house done with hardwood floors. We have the hardwood floors to lay down, just not time. We also have the big tile 18" by 18" for my kitchen to be laid , but one day I will have my floors.

  • Are you talking steam cleaning? Um about once a year. I hate that crap. Besides, I don't have any kids at home, so it's not a mess.

  • I vacuum 3 times a week. My husband own a carpet cleaning business....we don't use steam cleaning but use an encapsulation machine, I'll use it two or three times a year on our own carpets....

  • Oh I love hardwood floors! I steam clean mine about twice a year. I would like to do it more. I do not allow food in the carpet areas so it looks alright. We always eat in the kitchen......well, goldfish are ok....not fried chicken! lol

  • We have light beige carpet. I have three cats and four OUTSIDE during the day/in crates at night medium size dogs and a 5 and 9 year old. We live on a dirty old farm. It has been a total embarassment to have this light carpet. I had my carpet cleaned and not 2 weeks later we needed it done again. We usually keep a steamer and do it ourselves but it broke down. We are doing tile too. I have a guy coming next monday who'll be here for 4 days! I am so excited! We are going to get one of those floor steamers that uses super heated water to disinfect. GL on your flooring:)
