Organics & Cost

Do you think a family of 2 (1 adult and 1 toddler) can eat off of $400 a month if they eat organically?

  • Yes, I'd say so. We are two adults and eat for about that much. I don't buy all organic, but some vegetables and fruits, eggs, milk, and some meats. Perhaps you can do the same, buy what you can that is organic so that you stay in your budget.

  • I can feed my family of 6 almost all organics for that much. So yes, you can easily feed an adult & child organic for $400/month.

  • Maybe if they are growing their own food. Have you seen the prices in the grocery stores for organic food? Maybe it can be done if you eat no meat.

  • and if you can't afford all organic you can always prioritize. The most important things to buy organic are meats and dairy products.

  • We do... there are 3 of us and I spend $150 a week, but there are 3 of us and my son is 10 eating me out of house and home. Its amazing how much money you save when you don't buy a lot of processed foods and junk food.
