How do you clean the carpeted stairs?

I have a big vacuum cleaner so it wouldn't work on the carpeted stairs to vacuum with that.

I cannot even sweep the stairs.
I have no idea how to keep my carpeted stairs clean!!

Do you moms have any special ideas for me?

I appreciate it in advance :)

  • I use a hand-held vacuum. Does your vacuum have detachments? Try those.

  • My grandmother uses pine-sol and a damp mop. She has 16 great grand children and hers always come clean.

  • Lint roller, I didn't have a hand held vac, and it seemed to work okay! Eventually you have to break over and get one, the small Dirt Devil is pretty cheap about 20 bucks, I hated doing this so much we ripped up the carpet and refinished the hard woods, now just a broom.
