My husbands mom has early pneumonia and has planned my baby shower for saturday

Is pneumonia contagious and how long does it last? Also, is early pneumonia different than pneumonia or is it just early?

She's healthy otherwise and not hospitalized.

  • Pneumonia is NOT contagious... It's caused by bacteria not viral. You are fine. Your MIL may not be but you can't catch it and neither can baby. But she should be feeling better after 24/48 hours of meds and rest. Make the poor girl panic people.. geezz

  • I don't know but I'd probably ask that she not be there.
