  • Me too mine only has the minimum $5 in it. I am hoping to get DH to get direct deposit so we can get money taken out and we would never notice. even if its $5 a week or something.

  • Yes. And every month there is an automatic amount taken out of my checking and transfered into my savings account . It grows and I don't even have to think about making a deposit. But I DO have to deduct the amount from the balance in my check book. LOL.

  • we have an "emergeny fund" in our savings account of $1000. we were able to save that up rather quickly and now we're working on paying off our debt... Thank you Dave Ramsey.

  • Yeah. It has like $1400 right now and that's to put down on an apt. when we move.
Usually I put $1000 in when we get our taxes back and we use that when we are short on cash each month. By Christmas there is usually nothing left or just enough to pick up a few gifts.

  • Yes, we do.
We make sure to put a minimum of $25 into it each payday.
We add to it whenever we are blessed with a little extra.
