help plz not sure

i am starting to work with my son a a schedule we just started on sun he fell asleep about 830 but tonight he fell asleep about 715 will that mess him up on learning it i tried to keep him awake but it wasn't happening.... i am starting the routine of bath pj's bottle then bed.. he has been staying up till 5 am n i know he gets tired cuz he rubs his eye's alot but he fights his sleep alot

  • Go with his schedule! Overtired babies don't sleep well. If he's tired, put him down. No looking at the clock for this. You've got YEARS yet to worry about a clock schedule.

  • I agree with gdiamante. You need to let him set his own schedule. He will get really cranky if you keep him up, and he will take hours to get to sleep if you try to force him. Let the schedule be a loose guideline (ie bedtime is between 7 and 9PM, ideally by 8, etc). It will make for a happier kid.
