Night potty training???

So I know we are starting night potty training a little late but I was wondering how long it took you to get it done? Like where there are accidents once in a while, not everynight? 1-3 weeks, 1 month-3 months, 3 months-6 months, 6months to a year??? I haven't gotten frustrated yet and I'm not imaptient I was just wondering if it will happen as quickly as day training did.

  • It really all depends on your child. My daughter had 2 accidents in 6 months of overnight potty training, and my son never had an accident, but was older. Some kids take longer and have more accidents, some less.

  • My children night potty training themselves. They were both about three. When they were dry at night, I knew they had enough bladder control to day potty train, which went very quickly then.

  • I guess my daughter trained herself not to go at night. She was night trained about a month after she was daytime trained. After a week's worth of dry diapers, I started letting her sleep in underwear. She's a light sleeper, so she's up several times a night. I always ask her if she needs to go potty before I put her back to bed. She's had maybe three or four nighttime accidents since July.
