When does it come back?

I gave birth three months ago and am breast feeding. I was just wondering about when my menstrual cycle will return. Not that I'm super excited about it coming back or anything, but my sister says it could be as long as a year before it comes back. Is this true?

  • It's different for everyone, and may even vary for each child that you give birth to.

With my first child I didn't get a period beyond 7 months (and then I became pregnant again).
With my third child I got my period 3 months later.

  • Some women can go even longer than a year, but any where in there, it can return.
After my births I only had a few weeks break. :- /

  • I'm with doulala, mine came back VERY early. Then I got an IUD and I don't get them at all any more.
