i asked about the solids ealier..thanks for all the answers! so when u feed then the solid...banana, cereal, etc, is that there meal? or do they still do their usual bottle or breast WITH that??

  • We do still give formula with the solid. I give her vegetable first then the formula.

  • Before 12 months of age, ALWAYS nurse or bottle feed first, then offer the solids. It is NOT a replacement for a meal, just for fun. Like, a dessert. Breast milk or formula is the main source of nutrition before 12 mos. You don't want them to fill up on solids, and then be too full to take the breast or the formula that contains the calories and nutrients that they very much need.

  • Wildflowers, not sure if you knew this or not, but that's not the correct way to feed an infant solids. No bashing, no judgment, just want to pass along the info.

  • nurse or give formula first. bm or formula is still their main source of nutricion,
