  • it's normal. Could be period or just contractions still from feeding. It happens... :)

  • At four weeks it's probably still postpartum bleeding. But your period can return at ANY time. I would check in with your doc.

  • i agree with the other answers... as far as contacting your obgyn. the cramping is normal especially at only 4 weeks, your uterus is probably just trying to get back into shape. also, all pregnancies are different, including post-partums... so just because you were lucky enough to go 9 months without a cycle with your first one, it might be different this time around. hope everything goes well.

  • It could still be lochia, or it could be your period. I wouldn't be concerned.

  • I breastfed exclusively for 7 months and had my period every 28 days since delievery. Now that I"m weaning/supplimenting my period still comes every 28 days. That that however you want. Besides you go back to the doc in 2 weeks for your 6 week checkup, ask he/she what they think.

  • I had my period at 4 weeks. I had just stopped bleeding and then BAM, first period. Then I had the next period 28 days later and so on and so on... And I'm exclusively BFing.

  • I would say it's probably still postpartum bleeding, particularly if you've been pushing yourself more physically over the last few days or so.  Continue to take it easy for awhile--your body needs time to heal!

  • I also exclusively breastfeed my 4 month old and at 4 weeks I got my period. I haven't had one since...totally normal.
