DD had a very hard stool 30 min. ago,yesterday i gave her half of the little 1st banana gerber for dinner and the other half today for breakfast,as she didn't want the milk and was fussing about wanting to eat so i gave it to her and she was happy,but i don't know if i should continue buying the banana ones for her?Answer Question

Yes I am sure it is a major factor, but I am going to agree with the PP and say that 4 months is waaaayyyyyy too young for solids and that could also be causing digestive problems on top of it. Even the company says to wait until 6 months, closer to 12 would be better.

Anything other than breastmilk can cause constipation in a 4 month old. Sorry.
