Has anyone had a successful delivery when the drs thought your kidney function was compromised?

I'm a type 1 diabetic, have been for 14 years, and have 2 biological children of my own, who are healthy as can be-13 years, and 13 months. I just recently found out I am pregnant again, and this time the drs are saying they are concerned for my kidneys and are running a bunch of tests. I'm just curious if anyone else in a similar situation had a successful pregnancy that ended with a happy, healthy outcome?
