Is it normal to have nose bleeds when pregnant?

I always have dried blood and blood chunks in my nose. I have to clean it like 3-4 times a day or I can hardly breathe out of it. It wasn't like this before I was pregnant and I wasn't worried about it before because I had heard that it was normal to have nose bleeds when pregnant, but now I'm just getting tired of it. I'm 5mths pregnant.

  • Use Ayr nasal saline gel to make your nose more moist and use triple antibiotic cream a couple times a day. I use a q tip to administer both. It helps a lot!

  • I had ugly nose bleeds with 2 of my 3 pregnancies.
Its the membranes getting smaller or something like that(cant remember exactly what my dr told me) but it is quite normal.

  • That was one of my first symptoms. Yeah i had to clean my nose constantly and sometimes all you can do is wrap a tissue around your finger and dig... lol pregnancy can be so gross at times.

  • Completly normal, along with more mucus as well. It was so bad for a while that I had to blow my nose all the time! I've only had a few bloody noses so far but when ever I've gotten them they have been horrible!! Not just like oh hey here's a little bit of blood, I'm talking about having to change tissues every few seconds to minutes it's bleeding soo bad! Thankfully they stopped pretty quick to, just weird how they always came out of no where.
