  • You ask Mary to pray for you, you do not worship her. Catholics only worship God. Speak with your priest if you are concerned

  • Mary was the chosen one to carry, deliver Jesus. That's his mother. It says that you cannot and you will not reach Jesus, son of God without praying to her. Mary is awasome. Pray to her n u will see things changing. Those are all saints, that God himself have chosen. So yes it is okay to pray to them.

  • First, Catholics are not worshiping anyone but God. We do not worship saints, Mary or others. We pray to them and ask them for things in our lives. Each saint has a specific prayer. There are saints for pets, saints for moms, saints for lost causes. Second, when in church we are not worshiping the statues, we are praying to them. They are a physical reminder of the saints we pray to or the patron saint of our church. If you want more information, there are classes for adults that want to learn more about the Catholic faith, talk to your parish preist.

  • ihernandez7208, the priest never discussed the statues in the church. when i was a teen, i never really paid attention, just went cause my friends went, so that thought never entered my mind. only started thinking about it cause i see alot of stuff on cafemom.
