how will i know if my stitches are healed??

  • they usually do the kind that dissolve....check your discharge papers.

  • They should disolve. My Dr. told me mine would. Mine have been itching really bad so I know they are healing.

  • you won't be able to feel them with your hand when they have dissolved. You will be sore and tender for longer than that, so be careful and patient. If you take soaks it will help to disolve, and relieve stitches that are itchy..or feel like they are pulling. I had severe tearing with both of my deliveries, and I remember it taking about 10-14 days for the stitches to be gone.

  • I was too afraid to check so I just let them go away and didn't mess with them, after 6 weeks I got back on track doing everything normal again.
