Do you support Res. 554? If not, why?

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=hr111-554

If you don't agree with this legistation, please state why.

Also, do you expect your elected officials to read legislation before they vote on it? If not, what do you expect of your elected officials?

  • I fully agree with it. How can we, as constituents, really tell our congressmen HOW to vote on an issue if we don't know the full issue at hand? It's absurd, and about time they did something.

  • Oh, and to answer the OP, yes, I do support res. 554 and I do expect my elected officials to read legislation prior to voting on it.

If they blatantly tell me that it's a waste of their time, then I vote them out to free them up to do whatever is more important than making major decisions that effect all of their constituency.

  • Yes I expect them to read anything they're going to vote on! I also expect them to listen to those who voted them into office since they work for us, but it looks like that's wishful thinking LOL.

  • Wow, thanks for the info anon :43.
Oh, and thanks for not participating in the actual issue at hand. As long as you feel better about yourself, it's all good.
