That hole continues to widen. On Thursday, the Labor Department said initial claims for unemployment insurance rose to a seasonally adjusted 551,000 — up from 534,000 in the previous week and more than Wall Street economists expected.

I sure love me some of him.

  • OMG, it was a MESS BEFORE he got into office...he's trying....lay off....don't u all have anything better to do then sit around endulging in these daily bash fests? Isn't there an economy in crisis? GO stimulate it and HELP it instead of sitting around complaining about everything that man does. Sitting behind a computer bashing the president is NOT going to help anything!

    OMG........................................SHUT UP!

  • Consumer loan delinquencies hit record highs
Rising unemployment and falling incomes are to blame.

  • Unemployment is cyclical and happens every few decades...remember how bad it was in 1990-91? Anyway, whoever was President at the time any employment numbers were high was blamed. Presidents in the 20th Century...it happens. Its not just NOW. If you are young, you won't know about that or remember but this isn't the first time the economy has been bad and employment was high.
