I am reading this book "Monsters, And Investigators Guide to Magical Beings" and it talks about 3 different kind of monsters...

1.) Purely Fiction like Frankenstin
2.) Scientifically Possible like Bigfoot
3.) Scientifically Impossible like Ghosts

Now, here is my question. When you hear the word Monster, what comes to mind? What is your "definition" of the word?

  • My Aunt Lillian... I tell my kids there are no such things as monsters, only mean people. But, I also wouldn't classify a ghost as a monster. That's interesting!

  • in a fictional sense, gross, creepy, or scary looking things....things you thought were hiding under the bed as a kid.

In a reality sense.....psychopaths, murders, rapists, molestors.

Although, I consider ghosts possible and never thought of them as monsters.

  • I consider a monster anyone/thing that one has a terrible fear of, therefore the definition of a monster is different for everyone.
