  • The only way the opposition can keep their base fired up is to bash someone, anyone. The only person they have, right now, is Bush. He isn't listening. He isn't running for anything. He is at home and happy. We are defending him because we know that he really did some things that were pretty good. He did some things that were not so good. The opposition can never, never, never admit that. They cannot say Bush in a positive tone. He has to be the big bad ugly. It keeps them inspired. He has become their scape-goat to get back at all the horrible republicans who didn't appreciate Clinton for his obstruction of justice and his impeachment for that.
