Why am still lactating?

I stop beastfeeding my son when he was 10 months old, now he's 17 months old. I'm still producing milk what is the deal? Has anyone else had this problem too?

  • Not personally but i know i was strongly advised to stay away from cabbage if breastfeeding. Not ingesting it but putting it on my boobs! lol My lamaz teacher told us that if you put cabbage leaves on your breasts covering the nipples, your milk would stop. try it lol GL!

  • It's not nice to fool Mother Nature! It's not common but it's also nothing to be worried about. You could still breastfeed or pump and give your little guy the milk.

  • I continued producing milk for at least a year after my daughter weaned.
