Why do people ignore what's right in front of them?

Yet another transitional fossil discovered.

And still people will hide their heads in the sand.

  • Some people will say its not real, its Devil's deception etc.
You can smack them with facts all day long, but if its not in their bible, they will not see it.

  • We could say the same in the things found that are actually spoken of IN the bible. Goes two ways doesnt it?

  • people will believe what they want to believe, tangible proof or not. what's the sense in arguing? with this offering of proof, some will still believe in a divine creator at the helm. would you be satisfied with those that believe evolution was still coming from an all-powerful God? if not, then you'll never change their minds either.
again, people will believe what they want to believe.
(oh and i'm not bashing, lest you think i am..just throwing an extra thought out there.)

  • As a Christian, I think it is a fascinating find, but I do not see where it “proves” any thing, still too many unanswered questions.

  • Yes it does go two ways...but if you are going to use that arguement, what about things in other peoples religious texts, or system of belief that have occured as well?

  • Dammit princess, you beat me to it! I was going to say that. I'm sure the Torah and Koran and all other religious texts speak of real places and events. Real places and events that are generalized to the location they were written in, of course. People didn't know much about the world back then.

I find it fascinating. Can't get enough of this stuff.
