Ideas for a Halloween party?

I just was put in charge of a Halloween party camp out that is next Saturday. It's for the cub scouts. Ages 5 to 8 yrs old boys.
I need some ideas on simple snack foods and simple crafts that have a Halloween theme.
Thank you!

  • spider cupcakes
cupcakes; ice them w/ color of choice, use licorice and candy to create a spider sitting on cupcake

    pumpkin cookies
sugar cookies shapes like pumpkins; ice and decorate with m&ms and licorice

    painted jack-o-lanterns
small pumpkins, tempera or acrylic paint; let the boys paint the pumpkins with faces, etc. then take them home- a safe alternative to carving for the little ones

  • Monster Fingers

    Carrot sticks
    cream cheese
    sliced almonds
    Ranch or veggie dip

Smear a little bit of cream cheese on the tip of a carrot
Place and almond slice on the tip so that it looks like a finger
Arrange them around a dish of veggie or ranch dip

(I served ranch dip with veggies at my nephew's 5th birthday party and it went faster than the donuts and cup cakes!)
