never had problems playing dvd in my laptop, but now the computer doesn't read the dvd, wht is wrong?Answer Question

Try a DVD cleaner. could be lots of dust in the bay. Make sure it is not scratched. Is it blue ray or the old version. But at this point if nothing else has changed like updates to the drivers, The one DVD is bad. A DVD bay can be replaced, go to the web site for your system and change it out for a new one, around 40-100 depends. I changed my laptop hard drive it was getting hot and running out of space.
