We are in south Jersey. we have organized a Thanksgiving dinner at our church in the past, but bc of firbomyelgia I am not able to do all that anymore. We are still looking for some way to volunteer with the kids. We have no family of our owcelebrate with and I just would like have the kids see that really we are very blessed and should be a blessing to others when we can.

  • Food shelter, homeless shelter, hospital, VA hospital, nursing home. Some places have age restrictions, so check on those first. You can also call the local military base (if one is near you) and find out if you can host a service member or 2 for dinner. Let them use your internet or phone to call their families.

  • This year my family and I are hosting our own Avon fundraiser. I found I can do more good marketing an online fundraiser and handing out flyers than spending a day out. We are doing the local animal shelter and just began toys for tots today. I know that animal shelters nationwide are in trouble. People can't afford their pets and are being forced to get rid of them. People also can't afford their usual donations. I run my fundraisers from mid Oct all the way to New Years. If anyone would like to help the local animal shelter fundraiser or toys for tots I'm hosting now we need your help visit http://dhullum.avonrepresentative.com/online_event/view.php?rep_spnsr_evnt_id=9451 and place your order. 10-20% of the proceeds go directly the foundation!
