Failed garage sale!

Me and my friends tried to pull off a late season garage sale to sell a BUNCH of stuff but the weather didn't cooperate and we did not attract a lot of people so we did not make a lot of money at all, and we are still stuck with these things. Any ideas on how we can get rid of them? We all have far too limited space in our homes for these things.

  • Have another sale the next weekend. Or box it up by type (clothes, household goods) and list it on craiglist for a flat fee (e.g. box of household goods $10). Or just donate it. AmVets or DAV will pick it up at your house. If you have baby clothes or women's clothes, try donating to an abused women's shelter, they always needs women's and kids' clothes.

  • place some of the stuff on craigslist to sell or if you just want to get rid of it put it at the curb and put and ad on craigslist saying curbalert free stuff and it will usually be all gone within the hour.

  • Donate it to thrift shops or list it on Freecycle.

  • Yeah, I would call The Salvation Army or Goodwill to come pick it all up. You get the benefit of being able to take the donation to charity off you taxes. I stopped having yard sales. The donation is easier.
