2 Children, 1 Party, What theme?

My girls were born almost 3 yrs about exactly. Since their birthday is 2 days apart I am going to have 1 part for the two of them. What theme would be good for a 1 yr old and 4 yr old? I have already done princesses twice for the 4 yr old so I don't think I want to do that again just yet. I am mostly looking for cake ideas and a few decorations nothing huge.

  • Fish theme, the one year old might be able to say it, and its fun for both. Umm, dora or elmo might still fly. Just do a party theme, get a few balloons, draw a couple on the cake with iceing, poof, theme!

  • Something they both like in cartoon characters or TV shows they both like would do. Your trying to make both happy I assume. Nothing wrong with teddy bears or Dolls.

  • I did the same thing for my girls and we did CareBears It worked well for both ages.

  • When I was a kid we had a space party... And a sock hopp... Both were a BLAST! I know that was 20 years ago, but I can't imagie that stuff going out of style...

There are also Noah's Ark (where everyone dresses like their fav. animal), Cowgirl/Western, and Explorer (which can have great games with it!)

That's just off the top of my head... I'll let you know if I think of more.

  • I would just do a pink girly theme and then have some stuff with each of their ages on it. Or if their is a cartoon that they both enjoy you could do that. Tinkerbell and Disney Princess is pretty popular as far as themes go.
