If an ambulance is on its way to save someone, and it runs someone over, does it stop to help them?

  • This actually happened to my dad. He was in a very bad car wreck where someone ran a redlight and t-boned his car. The ambulance loaded him up, ran a redlight and hit a man on a motorcycle. They stopped and loaded the motorcycle driver up in the back with my dad and took them both to the hospital.

  • They have to stop if they are involved in an accident of any kind. They will dispatch another ambulance to the other emergency.

  • I am sure they will help that person & call it in so dispatch can send someone else to the other location. At least that is how it has happened here before.
